The Night Wolf.

Angry were the heavens,
Rumbling with fury and rage,
And in the flash of hot white,
I saw the teeth that hunts for prey,
Jagged and sharp and striking,
From the black maw that circled above,
The darkness was overcoming the senses,
While the heat rose hot in your blood,
This howling beast, this Night Wolf,
It struck like the splitting of trees,
And snarled upon the flash of its fangs,
Then rumbled away, -back to the sea.
